Dine & Dash

My first blog is going to be about a customer that did something very interesting. Last week, I had a older guy come in and he was by himself. The restaurant was empty so I told him to sit anywhere. He sat down and I asked him what he wanted to drink and he said decaf coffee. I went to get his coffee, came back then he ordered. He ordered a Mahi plate with rice and mac salad. I put in his order then got his salad ready. I dropped off his salad and then came back to the wait area to wait for his food. His food finally came out and then I dropped it off at his table. Right when I dropped off his food he asked for the check. I thought okay that's strange maybe he's just in a rush. I go and get his check and he had a $100 bill on the table. I grab the bill and go to take care of it. Another customer comes in...she's a regular....and I say hi and already know that she's going to have her daily coffee. I drop off the bill to the guy at his table and go to get the coffee for my regular customer. I walk into the dining area and the older guy is GONE! I give the coffee to my other customer and go over to the table that the older guy was at and his mahi wasn't even touched. There was no bite into it at all. He did leave me tip though. I just thought that was so weird. To order food and not even eat it??? I just didn't get it. He ate his salad and drank his coffee but didn't touch his food. I look outside and I see him drive off. I just couldn't wrap my head around that for the rest of the night. That was probably the most strangest thing that's ever happened to me!
